PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 11 August 2026
This policy explains what happens to your email address when you join the Cliff Heroes wishlist. In short: we collect your email address and nothing else, we use it only to tell you about Cliff Heroes, we never sell or share it for anyone else's marketing, and you can have it deleted at any time by asking us.
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is [FULL LEGAL NAME], operating under the trading name OffStars Studios, based in Tel Aviv, Israel. OffStars Studios is not currently a registered company, so the controller is a natural person. This page will be updated if that changes.
For any privacy question or request, contact supportoffstars@gmail.com. We aim to respond within a few days, and in any event within one month, as the GDPR requires.
What we collect, and why
When you submit the wishlist form we collect and store:
- Your email address. This is the only piece of information you give us.
- The date you signed up, and which page and campaign link you signed up from.
We use this for one purpose only: to email you news about Cliff Heroes — closed-beta builds, season drops and launch alerts. We do not use it for anything else, we do not build a profile from it, and there is no automated decision-making involved.
Providing your email is entirely voluntary. You are under no obligation to give it, and nothing on this site is withheld if you do not.
Our legal basis
Under the GDPR our legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)), given when you submit the wishlist form. You can withdraw that consent at any time — see Your rights below — and withdrawing it does not affect anything we did while the consent was valid.
Who else handles your data
We keep the list of people we work with as short as we can. Each of these is a processor acting on our instructions:
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS, France) stores the wishlist and sends the emails. Your address is held on servers inside the European Union.
- Vercel (USA) hosts this website and processes the request that carries your email address to Brevo. Vercel does not retain it.
- Google (USA) provides Google Analytics, if you agree to it. See Analytics and cookies below.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.
International transfers
We are based in Israel, which the European Commission has formally recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection. Personal data can therefore move from the European Economic Area to us without any additional safeguard being required.
Your email address itself is stored by Brevo inside the EU. Where a processor is based in the United States (Vercel, Google), transfers rely on that provider's own approved transfer mechanism, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Analytics and cookies
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which parts of the page they read. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and receives your IP address. It does not receive your email address.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google Analytics stays switched off unless you agree to it. We ask once, in a banner at the foot of the page, and we remember your answer. You can change that answer at any time with , and declining costs you nothing — every part of this site works either way.
We also use Vercel Analytics, which counts page views without setting any cookies and without tracking individuals across sites. Because it cannot identify you, it runs for everyone.
The fonts on this site are served from our own domain rather than from a font service, so loading this page sends your IP address to nobody but us and our host.
You can block cookies in your browser settings, and browser extensions are available that block Google Analytics entirely. Doing either will not stop any part of this site from working.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you ask us to delete it, or until Cliff Heroes has launched and the wishlist has served its purpose — whichever comes first. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you straight away and retain only the fact that you opted out, so that you are not added back by accident. And if we have not emailed you and you have not opened anything from us for 24 months, we will delete your address.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, if you are in the European Economic Area or the UK, you have the right to:
- ask what data we hold about you, and get a copy of it
- have inaccurate data corrected
- have your data deleted
- ask us to restrict how we use it, or object to our using it
- receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format
- withdraw your consent at any time
Under Israel's Protection of Privacy Law you likewise have the right to inspect the data we hold about you and to ask for it to be corrected or deleted.
Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link, and most email apps show an unsubscribe button of their own at the top of the message as well. Using either one stops all further email from us immediately, and you do not need to give a reason.
Unsubscribing is not the same as erasure. When you unsubscribe we keep a record that you opted out, precisely so that we cannot email you again by mistake. If you would rather we deleted your address altogether, email supportoffstars@gmail.com and we will erase it, free of charge.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you are entitled to complain to a supervisory authority — in the EEA, the data protection authority where you live or work; in Israel, the Privacy Protection Authority. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Children
The wishlist is not intended for children. You must be at least 16 years old to submit your email address. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete the address.
Security
Your email address travels to us over an encrypted connection and is stored by Brevo, which maintains its own security certifications. The credentials that allow this site to talk to Brevo are held as server-side secrets and are never exposed to your browser. No system is perfect, but we collect so little that there is very little to lose.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will say so in an email before it takes effect.
